What this service is
Hunterdon Radon Mitigation, a trade name of Swell Ventures LLC, is a referral service. We introduce property owners to certified radon businesses. We are not a certified radon measurement or mitigation business. We do not test, diagnose, design, install, supervise, inspect, or guarantee any work, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor.
What we verify, and what that means
Before a contractor receives a referral, we confirm their certification status against the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection radon register — measurement and mitigation are separate certifications and we check them separately — and we record what we checked and when. Insurance is not part of that check, and nothing here should be read as confirming that any business carries liability cover.
Those checks describe a moment in time. Certifications and insurance can lapse. A check is not a recommendation, an endorsement, a warranty of workmanship, or an assurance that any contractor is suitable for your building. You should satisfy yourself independently — ask for current documents, ask for references, and get more than one quote.
Nothing here is a measurement or a diagnosis
Nothing on this site tells you the radon level at any property, including yours. Tier classifications, geological descriptions and typical ranges describe an area, not a building. Only a test conducted by a certified measurement business tells you what your building is doing, and only a certified professional can interpret it.
Your agreement is with the contractor
Any contract, price, schedule, workmanship, warranty, permit, or dispute is between you and the contractor. We do not hold funds and we take no percentage of any job. If something goes wrong with the work, your remedies are against the contractor.

Every figure published here is a typical range for this area. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not an assessment of your property.

Do not submit false information, do not submit requests for property you have no connection to, and do not use the service to harvest contractor details. We can decline or withdraw service.
Limits
The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, work, or conduct of any contractor, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here removes rights you have under New Jersey consumer protection law.
