How this works

1. Tell us the number, or that you don't have one

A test result if you have it, the town, and what kind of foundation is under you. Ninety seconds, no cost. It costs nothing and it commits you to nothing.

2. We check certification and route it

We work out what kind of work it is and which businesses cover your town. Before any contractor receives anything from us, we confirm on the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection register that their radon certification is active — mitigation and measurement are separate certifications, and we check them separately — and we record the date we checked. Insurance is not part of that check, and nothing here should be read as confirming that any business carries liability cover. Cover can lapse between renewals, so ask to see a current certificate before anyone starts.

3. They contact you

One certified business — the one that covers your town and holds the certification for the specific work you need. You will not be fielding calls from three companies about the same reading.

4. You decide

You choose who to talk to, whose quote to take, and whether to do anything at all. We are not part of that conversation and we take no part of what you pay.

What we don't do

We do not test. We do not diagnose. We do not design or install systems. We do not inspect work, hold your money, or become a party to any agreement you sign. We hold no NJDEP radon certification and we could not lawfully do any of that for a fee if we wanted to. We cannot tell you what your reading means for your house — only a certified measurement professional who has looked at the test and the building can do that.

How we're paid

Certified radon businesses pay us for job referrals. Homeowners never pay us anything. That is worth knowing so you can weigh what we say accordingly — we have an interest in you making contact with a contractor, and no interest in which one you pick or whether you hire them.
